Generational Theory

Generational Theory posits that each "generation" of people born within a 20-25 year time period shares similar characteristics, or a persona, based on shared historical events.

The critics of Generational Theory feel that the dates chosen are arbitrary cutoffs and that the span of 20-25 is far too broad a generalization to make informed statements about generational groups.
