Protoype

A prototype is an early, simple version of a design created to test the validity of the concept.

Both physical and digital products and services can be prototyped. A low-fidelity prototype is used to test concepts among designers and will typically look very rough and unfinished to the intended audience. A high-fidelity prototype appears more polished, with functionality much closer to the proposed final design. High-fidelity protoypes are more commonly created to test the concept directly with stakeholders, including the intended audience.
